readymade films is an independent film and television production company based in Berlin. The company was founded in 2016 by Laura Bull and Jano Ben Chaabane. Laura Bull runs readymade films as producer and managing director.

We develop and produce contemporary films and series with a distinct voice, strong characters and a particular feel for tone. Our focus is on character-driven dramedies and comedies, extraordinary material and new narrative perspectives. We develop both local stories and international projects for the German and international markets.

The productions of readymade films include the series “MaPa”, which was nominated for both the Grimme Award and the German Television Award in the Best Drama Series category, the NBC original series “Culpa – Niemand ist ohne Schuld”, and the feature film “Tochter der Erde”. With international projects such as the historical romantic comedy “The Official Mistress”, readymade films is increasingly working with partners from Europe and the USA to develop material for a worldwide audience.
