The series spans a tumultuous seventeen years (1793-1810) in two sisters’ lives and in the life of Prussia, their adopted country. Lou and Freddi journey from teenage girlhood to womanhood, going to heaven, hell and back again in the process. They evolve from sheltered girls to women with values, from lovers to mothers, from fashion icons to artistic muses, from Princesses to Queens, from Wives to Warriors, and ultimately, to their own real selves.
